Challenge:
The idea of an automated check-in system on our website, meant to save passengers' time was born spontaneously by the directors; who asked the product team to come up with some sketches and a navigable prototype to test with real users.
They requested to research 2 things basically:
a) The concept of the idea
b) The design proposals
Kick off meeting:
I met with the design team who were assigned to this project and stakeholders. We hold a meeting to better understand what stakeholders had in mind, clarify our questions, agree and align on project's objectives and draw a plan.
Execution of plan:
Designers started quickly working on proposals, while I conducted a proof of concept test and reviewed recent customer feedback related to the check-in experience. When designs were approved by stakeholders, designers assambled the functional prototypes and I set a user test plan that later tried in 25 participants, as per stakeholder's request.
Results:
I drafted I detailed full report that helped stakeholders and directors to take a decisions about this initiative. Further research on costs and risks were requested and derived to pertinent departments.
